Auditions
Each year group auditions are held at the Glass Recreation
Center in January and at the FLY KiDS Summer Camp.
Generally, we recommend that dancers attend FLY KiDS Summer Camp to help them prepare
for being members and learn about the program. Attending summer camp can serve as an audition.
When openings are available, individual auditions can be scheduled for most regular rehearsal days. Auditions are FREE.
Probationary Period
If selected at audition, dancers will participate in the next four FLY KiDS rehearsals after which a final decision will be made.
Dancers
The director, Kathy Wood, is looking for talented, open-minded, hard working, respectful, boy and girl dancers who want to take their performing skills and experiences to a higher level. The age range is generally from 9 to 16 though exceptions can be made.
Previous Dance Training
None is required. The director is looking for kids who love to perform — trained or untrained!
Where Based
FLY KiDS is based at the Glass Recreation Center.
Cost to Be in FLY KiDS
There are no fees for training or rehearsals. A yearly $10 membership fee for the Glass Recreation Center is required.
Members will need to buy performance shoes. Where possible, expenses for the FLY KiDS program and members will be
underwritten by sponsors and donors.
